Description
Abel Mendoza Jarrarte is a wine made from grapes grown on vines with an average age of 35 years in the towns of San Vicente de la Sonsierra (La Rioja), Labastida (Álava) and Ábalos (Álava).
Winemaking
The grapes are harvested by hand in crates and fermented in stainless steel tanks with indigenous yeasts. It is then matured for 12 months in used French oak barrels.
Taste
Dry in the mouth, with a fresh structure and a pleasant sensation that immediately covers the whole mouth with a perception of balance. A pleasant tannin produces a slight astringency. In addition, glycerin and alcohol provide a sensation of honeyed, dry sweetness. All of this is held together by an enveloping mineral touch.
Sweet and challenging
The Abel Mendoza Jarrarte wine is a super challenging and early wine. It also shows great development, and is a bit more oxidative than normal.
Haven’t you tried this honeyed, dry wine yet? You’ll love it!
