Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate
The 2019 Braó was produced with a blend of 88% Cariñena and 12% Garnacha from very old vines—all over 60 years of age—from 16 plots, all owned, in five different locations in La Serra, Els Guiamets, Marçà, Masroig and Cornudella. It was fermented with indigenous yeasts and matured in new and second use barrels for 12 months. It’s creamy, velvety, spicy and smoky, with ripe fruit, good ripeness and 15% alcohol. It’s full-bodied and still quite oaky, with fine-grained tannins and a dry finish with a bitter twist. 10,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in July 2021.
