Description
Christian Tschida Himmel Auf Erden Red is a red wine made from Cabernet Sauvignon and Zweigelt by the Christian Tschida winery in Burgenland, Austria.
The name of this red wine means ‘Heaven and Earth’, it comes from a combination of a native Austrian variety Zweigelt and Cabernet Sauvignon whose origin is in France.
The vineyard where the Zweigelt grape comes from was planted on stony shale soils east of Lake Neusiedlersee and gives great qualities to this very original wine.
Winemaking
The grapes are harvested by hand and carefully sorted. The grapes are destemmed and crushed on foot. Fermentation takes place in large barrels with indigenous yeast and without racking.
The wine is then aged for 24 months in 500 to 1500 litre barrels and bottled without fining, filtering or sulphiting.
Taste
Christian Tschida Himmel Auf Erden Red is a red wine with floral, fruity and herbal aromas. The palate is light and fragrant Tschida, low tannins, medium body with perfect acidity and sweetness.
A unique fragrant and light wine
Christian Tschida Himmel Auf Erden Red is a red wine made by the legendary Austrian producer Christian Tschida. This is a wild and unfettered red from an Austrian-born winemaker with a genuine approach.
Christian takes a hands-off approach to his vineyards, letting nature take its course.
Gastronomically it is a special wine perfect for an anniversary dinner and to accompany blue fish.
And you, have you already had the opportunity to taste this peculiar wine? Do not hesitate to do so and leave us your comments!
