Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate
The portfolio also has a predictable 2019 Cuvée S selected from 1.5 hectares of vines planted 79 years ago on clay-rich soils that gave low yields of very ripe grapes in the warm and dry 2019 (19 hectoliters per hectare). The result is a concentrated wine with ripeness, close to 15% alcohol, mellow acidity and a medium-bodied palate with fine, elegant tannins and integrated oak after 26 months in French oak barrels. 2,500 numbered bottles were filled in May 2022. This is quite similar to the regular cuvée, a little more backward perhaps.
