Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate
The nose of 2019 Las Umbrías is quite shy, and the wine reveals how the vineyard is more sensitive to warm vintages; the wine shows darker and fuller than the ethereal Umbrías from cooler years. The rose petals feel decayed rather than fresh, and the wine is more mineral but shyer, less aerial and more soil-driven. It follows the style of the 2017 with a little more freshness. 1,285 bottles and 25 magnums from the 0.5 hectares of vines were filled in June 2021.
