Description
Malleolus de Sanchomartín is a red wine made exclusively with the grape variety known in the wine world as Tempranillo by Bodegas Emilio Moro under the appellation D.O. Ribera del Duero.
The grapes come from Sanchomartín, a 55-year-old vineyard located on a hillside on the right bank of the Duero River; one of the most select terroirs of the Bodegas Emilio Moro winery in Pesquera del Duero.
Sanchomartín is a plot of just one hectare in size, planted in 1964 by grafting scions from the Moro family’s oldest clone vineyards.
Winemaking
To make Malleolus de Sanchomartín wine, the grapes are harvested by hand. Once in the winery after fermentation, the wine is macerated for 28 days in tanks of 3,000 kilograms. The malolactic fermentation takes place in American oak barrels. The wine is aged for 22 months in new French oak barrels.
Taste
Malleolus de Valderramiro is a wine with a great fruity character and a magnificent aromatic complexity. On the palate it is elegant, with well-structured tannins, rounded with a marked acidity, and a long and persistent finish.
An intense and exceptional red wine
Malleolus de Sanchomartín is a red wine with character, rich in aromatic nuances and of high distinction and complexity.
In the gastronomic field, this is a wine that will perfectly accompany grilled red meat dishes, big game and roasts, among others.
If you are curious to try it, come on, we know you will like it!
