Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate
The 2016 Darío made the red varietal Morate, shows floral and spicy note, with a herbal touch, reminiscent of red from the Loire. It seems like the grape behaves well in cooler years and suffers in very warm years like 2017. It matured in used 500-liter oak barrels for 12 months. It has a light and fresh palate, tasty and with very fine tannins, with good acidity. I was surprised by the finesse, as I remembered it with more rusticity. 3,400 bottles were filled in September 2017.
