Description
Nit de Nin La Coma d’en Romeu is a red wine produced by the Familia Nin-Ortiz winery in Porrera, D.O.Q. Priorat. Priorat.
Nit de Nin Mas D’en Caçador is a red wine made from Grenache and Carignan grapes coming from old vines located in the La Coma d’en Romeu estate at an altitude of 400 metres above sea level, planted on slate and schist slopes with an average age of over 80 years.
Winemaking
Harvesting is done by hand, selecting the grapes in the vineyard and in the winery. After a cold maceration of 4 to 5 days, the whole bunches are fermented with indigenous yeasts in 3000 litre Allier oak vats for approximately 15 days.
At the end of alcoholic fermentation, the wine is saignée and the skins are gently pressed. This wine is aged in 600 litre used oak barrels for 16 months. This wine is made without added sulphites.
Taste
Nit de Nin coma d’en Romeu has aromas of fruit and aromatic herbs. In the mouth it is pleasant and well integrated, marked by very subtle tannins and quality flavours that make it very tasty and long, with a great sensation on the finish – a great privilege!
A complex and sublime wine
Nit de Nin coma d’en Romeu is a red wine made with grapes from vines that have been cultivated with biodynamic agriculture techniques for more than 5 years.
In other words, the use of products that may damage the soil and plants is avoided, always showing great respect for the land and climate, the vineyard and its environment.
